Make a list ahead of time, and cross off as you go. You will feel organized and in control, and get a sense of accomplishment as you cross off each item.

Have a budget and stick to it. Impulse buys can be fun, as long as you don't go over your spending limit.

Shop early! Don't procrastinate and end up rushing at the last minute to get everything you need. The longer you wait, the malls will be more crowded and you'll have to pay more for faster shipping online.

Contact online stores to make sure your purchases will arrive in time. Pay for expedited shipping if necessary, its better than worrying or receiving it late.

Pool your online purchases with friends and family. You will each save on shipping if you ship your orders together, and you may qualify for discounts based on the size of your order. For example, DragonWeave offers 10% off orders of $100 or more.
